About ICT-Enhanced Learning

ICT-Enhanced Learning is an expanding collection of ICT supported activities & projects that Loreto teachers and students have facilitated from 2002-03 onwards.

Because the contributing teachers and students are at varying levels of digital competency, some activities may seem bolder than others, but for each of the participants, their respective digital plunge represents new territory.

As a result of the initiative, not only are students experiencing firsthand the convergence of traditional media with the digital world, but they’re also

taking more of a constructionist approach to their studies

assuming an increased sense of ownership in their learning

experiencing the importance of multi-disciplinary teamwork

building self-confidence and mutual respect

improving communication skills.

“Cool”, “Deadly” and “Sweet” are just some of the words students are using to describe their new approach to studies.

ICT-Enriched Learning was originally launched in the Spring of 2003 as an in-school ICT initiative under the name of Education with Attitude :-)

New projects and activities have been added on an ongoing basis. Some are complete, some in progress, while others are just taking flight.
