| As part of pitching the success of their mini-company, Sanita Jewellery, to the judges at the national Young Entrepreneur Scheme 2002 Competition, First Year students Niamh, Nicola and Angela shot a digital video clip of one of their happy customers endorsing Sanita Jewellery. The girls then embedded the video and others into a PowerPoint presentation about their business. The girls went on to win an award for Best Display… thank you digital media! Similarly, Senior Cycle student Lynn Owens, reached the finals in healthcare company Bayer's Science for Life 2002 Competition (UK & Ireland). Her entry, called Speed City Games, focused on drug abuse in sport. Lynn also used digital video clips to promote her message. Lynn’s project was one of seven entries to reach the finals. |
