The move from secondary school to third-level requires students to make an informed choice with up-to-date information.

In January 2005, Loreto's Career Guidance Department expanded to incorporate an online resource area. This area provides a dedicated space for students to research careers, colleges and courses. It also provides access to a variety of career interest tests.

During select career periods, each senior cycle student now focuses on researching the career or course that is of specific interest to her; leading to improved motivation and a strong sense of ownership regarding her third-level choice.
