As part of their ICT Course, Transition Year students follow-up their module on HTML with team-based web design projects.

One team has already chosen Hot Air Ballooning as the focus of their site. The team’s technical specialist will research how hot air balloons work and handle the html production of the site. The team artist will look at hot air balloon designs from an art perspective; naturally she’ll be responsible for the graphic design of the site. Lastly, the editor will study the history of ballooning and serve as the overall content editor. All three students are looking forward to contributing to the piece, “Our First Flight!”

Beyond HTML, Loreto Senior Cycle students have the option of taking a Topics in Computer Science Module. The course assists the girls in deciding whether or not an ICT degree at third-level is suited for them.
