President Mary McAleese addresses staff and students Our Guests and Speakers President Mary McAleese, Special Guest of Honour Gracia Kibad - Filipino Lay Missionary - Gracia has facilitated many workshops during previous peace and social justice weeks. Fr Peter McVerry - Focus Ireland - Fr. Peter Mc Verry is a Jesuit Priest noted for his work with homeless young people in Dublin. John O'Shea - Goal - John O' Shea is the founder of Goal which was set up twenty years ago. Goal is working in eighteen countries to help the poorest of the poor particularly women and children. John Lonergan - The Governor of Mountjoy Prison who has gained a reputation for his socially aware and sensitive approach to those in his care. Jill Kennedy - Immigration Council - Jill Kennedy is a Training Officer with the Immigration Council of Ireland. She joined the organization in 2003 having previously worked with Womens Aid as a training officer. Cabrini Gibbons - Refugee Council - Cabrini was Head Girl in St. Michael's in 1994/1995. She worked in Africa for some time and is now back in Ireland working for the Refugee Council. Patsy Toland - Patsy has worked with Self Help for the last two years. He has accompanied second level students on trips to Uganda and Erritrea to observe Self Help aided projects first hand. Aloys Habimana - Aloys is a leader of LIPRODHOR, the only Rwandan Human Rights Group considered independent of the Government. He has also monitored the Rwandan court system since 1997. Geraldine Cusack and Valerie Norton - Meath Energy Management Agency - The Agency was set up in 2002 by Meath Co. Council to promote the rational uses of energy and to provide and disseminate energy information. Alcoholics Anonymous - Members of the AA are very Generous in giving of their time to share their personal stories with our students. Members of Travelling Community In-House Workshops & Justice Games Samba - African drumming workshop. Kieran Gallagher enables students to get a flavour of other cultures as he introduces them to Samba rhythm and percussion instruments. Dalgan Park - Mission awareness centre and facilitators. Each year our fifth year students spend a day in Dalgan Park. Transition Year Drama - Transition Year students through the art of mime and drama help to raise awareness of peace and justice issues.
