Well done girls.
This is a lovely way to remember Aimee, Claire, Deirdre, Lisa &
Sinead but also you are raising awareness of road safety and raising
funds for a worthwhile cause. I will certainly take a few boxes
of the keyrings to sell to my colleagues and friends. Also Deirdre's
cousins in Dingle are going to sell some. Best of luck with the
project. Kathleen
A brief note
to thank you for your invitation to the launch last Tuesday. It
was a very moving occasion, and I was honoured to be part of it.
I wish you well with your campaign, it will be a great success.
We will be thinking of you as the anniversary approaches.
Thanks again,
Mary Mulligan,
Deputy Principal, Mercy Navan
It's good to
know that those who survived the bus crash thought of giving back
something to the hospitals who looked after them.
The memories of their close friends who died, especially those from
Loreto and Beauparc, were of deep love, respect and importance to
them.

I think this is a brilliant
idea, and as a student in Loreto I can all see the work the Seedlings
group and Mr. O'Toole are doing! Keep up the good work girls!

Hi, I heard about
your campaign on the radio this morning and I wanted to e-mail,
firstly to wish you all the best of luck, and secondly to say well
done for having the initiative to start a drive like this. I will
certainly be doing what I can to support it by ordering a few keyrings.
I would also like to put a link on my website which might get you
a few viewers. If this is agreeable with you, then please let me
know and I'll put it up this morning. Best regards
Susan
Hi, I'm really proud
of what ye are doing and I think that it is really brave of you!!
I know what you are going through as last year April 20th my boyfriend
and his brother who were 20 & 18 were both killed instantly
in a car accident.. I know only too well the pain that you suffer
after tragedies like this!!
Something has to be done to prevent more road deaths and I support
you 100%. The keyrings are a lovely way to remember yer friends
and I know that they are looking down on you with love..
Keep up the good work

Hi, I'm a 6th year student in Co.Kildare and I think the keyring
idea is an excellent way of raising much needed funds for the hospitals.
I would like to purchase a keyring and would be more than happy
to sell them to students in my school on your school's behalf as
many students in my year are beginning to drive their own cars so
I feel it would encourage them to think "safety" when
driving. Looking forward to a reply, Aideen.
Hi girls, I
think the key rings are a great idea! I'm only 12 and I think they
should teach about road safety in every school in the country! Ive
just been watching the news and most of it is about car crashes
and kilings what is Ireland coming to! It is MENTAL! I'm going to
buy every one of the keyrings! Do you not sell them in Dublin! They
would sell!

Dear
Pupils of Loreto Navan,
I read
about you Road Safety Initiative in the Irish Times today
and I wish to send you my congratulations on such an initiative.
In the aftermath of the tragedy you all experienced last
year, it is wonderful that you have been able to channel
some of your energies in such a positive manner.
Since
the death of my own 17yr old daughter Emma in 2002 I have
felt similiarly driven to try to increase the awareness
of road safety. I have been involved with the Garda Road
Safety Unit based in Dublin Castle. They run a Transition
Year Road Safety Programme mainly in the greater Dublin
and surrounding areas. In it there is a video clip of the
story of our loss of Emma. I have attended some of the schools
where the programme has been used and the effect of it is
quite powerful.
My heart
was sore indeed last year after the bus accident as I could
identify with the grief and loss. Emma was in Leaving Cert
in Scoil Mhuire in Trim, not too far from Navan as it turns
out. She died in a car crash.
I note
on your website that you are holding a special day in May.
Well done to you all for ogranising it all. Would it be
very forward of me to ask if I could attend some or all
of that event?
I look
forward to hearing from you at some stage and to possibly
meeting with you too. God Bless your work and well done
for making something good come from such a dreadful accident.
That is all I hope for from my work.
To save one life would make it all worthwhile.
Yours
Sincerely
Catherine

Congratulations
on a wonderful idea.

This is
a great idea, these key rings should be available in every County
and in banks, supermarkets, chemists, Garda stations and many
others. All schools should hopefully follow suit in a similar
project. Road safety concerns us all.[or should do.] I am one
that knows what it is like to lose someone and was involved
in an accident myself. GOOD LUCK .
Jasmine, Co. Mayo.
Girls, I
think your keyrings are a fantastic idea. I would like to purchase
some for myself and family and friends. I'm sure there would
be loads of people around the country who would like to buy
them to help raise this awareness. Do you know if ye will be
selling them anywhere else in Ireland.
Sinead K., Cutbush, Curragh, Co. Kildare
I hope none
of you ever have such tragic sadness in your lives again. The
keyrings are a great idea. Keep up the good work, and never
forget who you are doing it for. Geraldine
